Ms. Katherine began dancing in Dallas at age 4. She is an alumnus of Dance Xpressions, formerly Lancaster Dance Academy, where she trained for 14 years. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance Studies from Texas Woman’s University. After college, she danced professionally with “Muscle Memory Dance Theater,” a modern dance company based in Denton, Texas. Ms. Katherine has been teaching since college and choreographing for several schools and teams in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She returned home to Dance Xpressions in 2009 and took over as owner and director in 2010. At the time she was working with several local drill teams including the Red Oak Hawkettes (assistant director), Red Oak High Steppers (choreography & technique), and Duncanville High Hats (choreography & tap technique). Ms. Katherine is the Artistic Director of DXE, our competition & performance company. Her main emphasis is teaching students a love of dance and proper technique.
